Enable Blood Oxygen Estimation on Charge 3?

I purchased a new Charge 3 and received it yesterday after hearing that Fitbit has activated a new feature that enables it to estimate blood oxygen levels during sleep. I made the switch from another Fitbit watch that I'd been wearing for a couple of weeks. How do I enable Sp02/blood oxygen monitoring/estimation on Charge 3?

Just curious.  Where did you hear that?  AFIK, and I'm on the Fitbit Community Council, it is not true.

I read that also in an article about wearable devices and how fitbit has oxygen sensers that Apple and garmin did not yet have.  That article is gone and I can't find it.  I read it yesterday

Thank you, Timothy.  I had not heard about that and I am quite interested since I have COPD and need to monitor my blood oxygen level.

I contacted fitbit support but they won't give a date on when this will be rolled out to all users. They only mention sometime in 2020.

Funny.....what I read is that it was already active on the new charge 3’s and with the update will become active on all others!!!!

It appeared on my Charge 3,with an extra bit if you checked a night's sleep showing variations in oxygen level. I'm not sure exactly when that happened, but recently. There was a help text somewhere saying that it could be done during sleep because it's usually dark enough, so implying (but not actually saying) that it won't work when it's light. But when I looked for the feature a couple of days ago, it had disappeared again. I have no idea what's going on.

I got my Charge 3 at Christmas. Had the oxygen variation graph (on my sleep score) until yesterday! It just disappeared! Maybe they are just trials and it will be a permanent feature sometime this year.

I too had the oxygen saturation graph removed/disappear today!  I was just actually saying how much I liked my charge 3 to my family... however having a key feature disappear without warning or reason will change that review quickly.

I agree that Fitbit is doing a horrible job with how they are handling SPO2.  Some people have it.  Some people have it that use Charge 2's (which don't even have a sensor to provide readings).  People who pay for Premium and have been Loyal Fitbit customers for years didn't get  it, but someone who got their first Fitbit ever for Christmas were given the SPO2 data from the start.  Moderators on here are very cryptic and just say it will be available for everyone sometime in 2020, but someone at Fitbit has told the Media (I read an article in Business Insider) that the SPO2 Estimated graph will be available for everyone by the end of January.  Some of you got it, then woke up one day and it disappeared.  What a HORRIBLE way to roll out a feature like this. It is no wonder why they needed Google to save the company in the end.  Super frustrated Fitbit user over here!

Well, the estimated oxygen variation is back this morning, including for the past few days for which it previously wasn't there. The app hasn't been upgraded since yesterday according to the Google Play Store, so I'm guessing it is something Fitbit can turn on and off at their end. Anyway, thanks for putting it back!

That article claims everyone has it and that isn't true.  I dont and neither do other people I know who have a charge 3.  Only some people have it  and that is a safer way to roll out experimental software.  C

I've never had it. I keep looking, but it's never been activated on my Charge 3. Maybe some day...... . . . .

Tomorrow is end of Jan. Does anyone still have any faith to get the Estimated Oxygen Variation graph by end of tomorrow?

Or we really have to check daily for the rest of 2020?

Great Question, thanks for bringing it up. I heard towards the end of last year that this feature would be available. I keep checking on my Charge 3 and have never had it (that I know of!). For the record, Fitbit, I'm looking forward to it and would love some reliable information.

Hopefully when Google take over it'll end the total incompetence of Fitbit and there amateurish software rollouts

A question for everyone that does have it: What version are you using and what phone OS, Apple or Android? I'm an Android user with the latest version download from Google Play and version 28.20001.63.5 on my Fitbit and I do not ...(checking my phone real quick. Nope, not yet...) have it.
