The golf app is turning off, no matter how many times I turn it back on.... this is only happening with the Golf application. When I'm in the gym, the Weight application works perfectly and never turns off... So it makes no sense in why the Golf application is turning off automatically....
When I first started using the Charge 3, it worked fine.... but one day decided to start turning off when at the driving range and when playing golf...

Welcome on board @MallenShane, it's nice to see you around! Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for letting us know the Weight shortcut works perfectly.
I've tested my Golf exercise and it worked perfectly until I stopped the exercise. So, I'd recommend restarting your Charge 3 by following the steps at How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Give this a shot and let me know if the Golf exercise keeps crashing. If so, try removing the Golf shortcut from the list of exercises, sync your Charge 3, then add the Golf shortcut again.
Hope this helps, let me know if the issue persists. I'll be around, keep me posted!

I've restarted the Charge 3 and I've deleted the golf shortcut, synced, added the golf shortcut again, synced, and still the same.... the golf app works for a few minutes... then when I start hitting balls or playing golf... it just stops...

Welcome on board @MallenShane! I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this issue.
When doing a Golf activity you might be able to touch your tracker's display with a sleeve of clothes and it might cause it to stop registering your exercise. Have you checked this? If so, I recommend avoiding to touch your Charge 3 display during a workout.
Since you haven't experienced this with any other exercise, I'd recommend verifying what I mentioned above. Let me know if the issue persists.
I'll be around, keep me in the loop!

in the past this was never an issue.... only over the past 2 weeks.... also, I wait to start swinging, until after the display turns off....
and.... I do not have the same issue when using the workout app in the gym....

Hi there @MallenShane! Can you please try with other exercises besides Golf and Weightlifting? And let me know if you face the same issue you have with Golf with another exercise.
I'm looking forward to your response. 😉

I have tried all these suggestions and the problem persist. What next?

My wife has the same problem as mentioned above. I have had her try all of the suggestions you mentioned above and nothing works. The problem only occurs on the golf app. She also uses elliptical, treadmill, walking, workout and weights every week. Obviously she has to move apps on and off of her charge 3 but we exercise all week. That includes golf and the golf app is the only one that crashes every time and she restarts it and it crashes again. My Charge 3 has never crashed utilizing the golf app. As far as having the iPhone nearby as access to the internet, that is unnecessary. I leave my phone at home and sync it to get my results when I get home. My charge 3 has no problem with the golf app, if anything I need to remember to turn it off when I'm done. What's next?

I'd like to be included in any information on this as well.
My Charge 3 logs some activities and shows a report - such as swimming and elliptical.
I set it to track golf, but it only logged golf while I was on the driving range.
It does not log walking as an exercise, weight lifting, or intervals, although I have those selected. So for many days each week, it shows that I have covered a certain number of steps, but that I did not do any actual exercise . . . is there an answer for this?

I have the same problem.
Also, exercise refuses to recognise golf, it shows it as cycling or walking. Even when all recent activity had been changed to golf many new golf exercise is shown as cycling and recent activity does not show golf at all!

I tried using the golf exercise shortcut today for the first time. It shut off by itself after 29 minutes. I have a Charge 4. Would love to know if there is anything I can try to resolve, going to play again tomorrow morning.
