Export heart rate data from Charge 3 - empty TCX file

Hi all.

Is there a way to export heart rate data for an activity?

Not just average for the whole activity, but minute-by-minute readings?

From the dashboard I can go to the activity and export a TCX file

But the TCX file that downloads does not contain heart rate info

The activity in question was a 'Bootcamp' if that makes any difference

Thanks for any pointers!

Sorry, but that is not currently possible. You may be able to come up with something using IFTTT

Thanks Patruns!

Shame... I up-voted the feature requests to add this

I played around a bit more: I see that the TCX file does get populated with location data/altitude when doing outdoor activities (bike, walk etc). So it should be trivial to add the heart rate. We'll see

I guess it may also be possible via the API (as this is a sort of one-off project)

Cheers

Hi

To answer my own question here... if the activity requires GPS connection then the TCX file of the activity *does include* the heart rate data. So exporting the TCX file and opening in Excel does give access to the raw heart rate data series - which is what I was after

Thanks!

It will be great if Fitbit would add "heart rate" .tcx like export option for activities which do not include GPS data , like "spinning" or "weights" . I am  not sure how to submit such a feature request.
