Fitbit Charge 2 not showing R.E.M. sleep stages?

I've got the Fitbit Charge 2 and have had the new update on my app of the R.E.M. Stages graph for a while now however all it ever showes is 'no stages'. Why is this? Very frustrating as I really would like it to work.

Sleep stages has not yet rolled out to all Charge 2 fitbits. It will arrive at some point but fitbit are not saying when the rollout will be completed.

Mine showed REM on Thursday night, but not last night

Fitbit suggest there could be a few reason for this:

"WHY DON'T I SEE SLEEP STAGES TODAY?

There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your tracker from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your tracker higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your tracker to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your tracker’s battery is critically low."

Mine also has suddenly stopped.  Has been fine from 26th March, but stopped on Sunday night.  Nothing has changed with the fit and would be surprised if my sleep method has suddenly changed.  Still shows restless and awake but the look seems to have reverted back to the early March appearance.

I have a friend w same Charge 2, same software update and settings, she gets REM information I don't?

I think you have to choose 'log sleep'.  When I do that, I get REM etc.  If I just go to sleep, I get the old report.

Now you see it now you don't!!  Had sleep stages for 2 nights, for the last 2 nights it has gone, reverted back to the old format?!!!

I checked my last app update and it was carried out on April 25th.  But, the REM stats etc. Were still working on the 29th.  So, likely not the app but does seem odd.  Really like the new format, so hoping it will return.

Same thing is happening to me 😞 Worked once and now i don't see the detailed chart. Also is the chart accurate. It shows i was restless last night but i got gr8 sleep. showed only 15 minutes of REM

Ok, so today it is back again.  Seems fairly representative as I sleep badly with a lot of awake and restless.  I will check to make sure the band is always at the same setiing, my adjustment varies a hole especially if I have done a late workout.

Mine show the stages on Monday night but not last night. Goofy electronics. Thought at first it was just me. I have a habit of messing up anything electrical:). Hope for soon

I have a Samsung S8, and I use the Fitbit charge 2. I found that the only time it shows REM, light, deep sleeps and what not is if I leave the Bluetooth on while sleeping.
