Fitbit Charge 3 Screen and Syncing Issue

I have a problem with my charge 3.  In May my screen started to become fainter and fainter until in the end it was so dark that I could hardly read it.  At that time I contacted fitbit support and I tried all the advice in the forums.  I tried to reset it by connecting it to the charger and holding in the button.  The fitbit vibrated, but I could still not see anything on the screen.  Fitbit support told me to change the clockface in the app to solve the problem.  I tried doing that, but I was unsuccessful.  I got discouraged and left it for a while.  Today I decided to try again to fix the problem, but now the problem is that my fitbit doesn't even want to sync to my phone or to my laptop.  I charged it and the green light at the back still flashes and it vibrates, but the screen remains black. I unpaired and repaired it to both devices without success(my computer says it successfully detects the device, but it cannot sync).  I even took the device off my computer and tried to reconnect it, but the problem is I can not see the code on the watch that I need to put into the app...  I miss having a working fitbit and really hope that I can resolve this issue.  Please help!
