My Fitbit Charge 3 has been out of use for about a year or 2 now but i decided to start it up again but, i plugged it in and the battery icon didn’t show up. The screen is completely black but it still vibrates. When i plug it in it vibrates and when i press the on/off button it vibrates and if i press and hold it, it continues to vibrate even when i let go. I’ve tried the restarting thing but it just keeps vibrating with a black screen. I’m not sure what’s happening, please help.

Hello @Sp00nKid. Welcome to the community forums!

Thank you for the detailed information and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried prior to posting. If your Charge 3 refuses to charge, I'd recommend following some troubleshooting steps suggested in this help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

If that doesn't help and the Charge 3 still doesn't turn on, please try to perform a long restart. A long restart is different than the basic one and you can complete the process by following the instructions below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hope this helps.
