Fitbit Charge 4 not holding its charge

I was so excited to receive a Fitbit Charge 4 for my birthday 15 months ago but it will not hold its charge. So disappointed. I spoke to four different customer support people from Fitbit and nobody had the courage to tell me that my watch was outside the 12 month replacement warranty window. The 'assessment' of my file was sent by email. My advice is NOT to buy this watch unless you want a useless bracelet or contribute to landfill sites.

You're supposed to have a two year warranty! I have the same issue! Been trying to contact customer care for a few days now! It's frustrating 😒  I hope you get it sorted!

Also forgot to mention that I was offered a 35% discount on my next Fitbit purchase. This is insulting.

Two year warranty? I am leery about contacting them again. First person in the chat was good to deal with. Second chat was snippy. Third was an actual call that was disconnected. Fourth was fine but wouldn't tell me about the 12 month warranty even when I pressed him about it.

Thanks for replying though. Let me know how you do with them when you do get through. I am on the search for a new health tracker watch now 😕

I've attached their own Web page showing a 2 Yr warranty, I'd keep pushing. Post on twitter if necessary, they have a chat option there.

I am also having the same problem, but this isn’t the only issue! I have basically had an entire ‘new’ Fitbit in the 18 months I’ve owned it! Firstly the strap broke at the face, the little plastic clips holding it on just snapped! They needed to replace the face for that, which they did, without hassle except they sent a refurbished one! So it’s not even new! Then the strap broke again, this time in the middle, it just fell off my wrist! Again, it was replaced, without hassle. But what has angered me is that the replacement face was refurbished, not new. I wasn’t given a refurbished one for Christmas! Now it won’t hold its charge! I’ve always had a Fitbit, for yrs! But these newer models are much less quality then the older ones! I can’t even be bothered to contact them about it not holding charge and am thinking I’ll swap to Apple Watch instead.
I hope you get yours sorted but do be aware, if they agree to replace it, it won’t be a new one, it’ll be a refurb…

Hi!
Thanks for sharing your experience with your Fitbit watch. After seeing how they ‘replaced’ yours, I went ahead and bought a generic smart watch that was decent in price and had favourable reviews.
It is very frustrating getting the runaround like that.
Unless Fitbit stands by their product, I don’t see how they will stay in business. Good luck to you in your watch search.
