Hi, my Fitbit Charge 2 is not even 2 months old and I have difficulties syncing with my Mac High Sierra 10.13.3. When I open the app from the Applications folder it appears for a second and then nothing. It did work a month or so ago.
Please help!
Thank you,
Julia

@JuliaRietveld Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! I suggest you removed the Fitbit Connect software from your computer then download the most recent version from the Fitbit website. Restart your computer first and reinstall the program.
Let me know how it goes!

Hi @AlvaroFitbit,
I'm having the same issue as Julia. I removed the Fitbit Connect app from my computer but I can't find where to download it inside the Fitbit Store online. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

@DenFre Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply. In your case please download the one that says "Mac" as the other one is for older Mac OS versions.
Keep me posted!

having same problem. have had to delete and reinstall before. don't want to have to keep doing this every couple of months. i notice this one im downloading takes up a lot of memory compared to the one before too... is there not a way of just syncing on the website so we don't have to download anything at all?

i'm having the same problem. It flashed up for a moment and vanished. So I reinstalled. Now it just spins and doesn't do anything. My Mac bluetooth cannot see the fitbit. It was working fine a year ago when I last used the fitbit (the strap broke and I stopped using it). Not sure there is any answer posted.

Having the same problem with my Versa.I just want to transfer music to it. I heard that Fitbit Connect is not compatible with Mac Catalina ios. I just fired up an older mac with Sierra ios on it and am having the same problems.I read it maybe because of the Bluetooth keyboards and mouse. I am going to turn off all Bluetooth devices see what happens.I read somewhere that may work. I know alot of people are complaining about this issue maybe Fitbit should fix the problem for Mac users.

I have Mac Version 10.11.6 and I am having the SAME problem! (I have a Fitbit Versa) I have uninstalled and restarted several times since that is where google has lead me. It spins and spins and never opens. I let it spin for almost 2 hours just to see if it would ever open. It did not. I am relieved I am not the only one having this problem. I just wanted to put music on it. :c Anyone know how to fix this?

We are running Mac OS10.11.6 and the app used to work fine on our MacBook but now it just sits there and spins.
When will this be rectified for Mac users?

Hello @thetheos and welcome to the Help forum. I still have Fitbit Connect on my Mac, not for syncing, but for transferring music to my Versa 2. It is unlikely that Fitbit will fix this. Fitbit Connect hasn't been updated since 2018. The newer Fitbits aren't compatible with Fitbit Connect at all. Mac users have had problems since OS Catalina was released. Based on this observation, I don't expect a fix.
