Fitbit No Longer Making Charge 2 Replacement Bands

Even thought the Charge 2 has only been out for a little over a year, they are now forcing everyone to spend again on a Charge 3. They are no longer producing the Charge 2 bands. I was lied to by a Customer Service Rep today who said they will be in stock, but when I pressed him he admitted they are no longer making them and have moved on. Beware that if you buy a Charge 3 the same could very well happen to you in a couple of years. They should have made the Charge 3 bands compatible with the Charge 2, but they want you to keep spending big money.

You can buy wide variety of styles, colors, materials of third-party bands on Amazon much cheaper than they were from Fitbit.  So you don't really have to buy a Charge 3.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I agree with previous post that fit bit is playing games in the name of profit instead of customer service!! I have had a charge 2 for 1-1/2 years and had to replace the band twice. Very poor bands. I don't climb mountains or treat it hard. I believe any line they give you as to why the charge 3 band is not compatible with the charge 2 is Bull! I will never buy another fitbit!!!😤😤😤
