I have a Charge 2 and this has happened a few times. Today my resting HR was 78. I have synced my Fitbit multiple times today and at 1pm my resting HR changed to 77. Why would my resting HR change in the middle of the day? Is this normal and has anyone else had this issue? Most of the time my resting HR stays the same all day.

Hello @ErinB1112, it is great to see new faces around the Forums! Oh! You don't have to worry about it. The fact that your resting heart rate has increased 1 BPM during the same day, doesn't mean that your Charge 2 is defective. During the day you can go through some stressful periods and this could be reflected on your resting heart rate specially. Personal physiology, temperature, humidity, physical body position, caffeine intake, and medication use are just a few things that can affect your resting heart rate as well. So I would like you to take them into consideration. I hope this information will help you out!
Keep me posted!

I’ve noticed mine (Charge 2) doing this lately too, but up until recently it has seemed to stay the same all day. Yesterday it increased from 69 to 70 after 5 pm, and today it decreased from 72 to 71 after half a day. I just wondered what the process was for determining the RHR average - does it take calculations at certain times and base the average on those? Or is it a constant monitoring and fluctuation?

That makes no sense. Your RHR is calculated when you first wake up. Yes, your heart rate throughout the day will change depending on activity, stress and consumption of caffeine or alcohol, but RHR and your HR are not the same thing. I am seeing the same thing on my Charge 2. The RHR keeps going up throughout the day.
