Hi there,
I have a Fitbit charge 2 with an iPhone 7. I'm using the latest version of IOS and, as far as I can tell, the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Starting on 5/10/2022, every other day, the app has calculated my sleep quickly, but has taken forever to find my current heart rate! I forcequit the app several times. Finally, ten minutes or more later, the app finally picks up the current heart rate it should've picked up earlier. I know this because it picks up over 100, what I perceived my heart rate was earlier, and that it quickly goes down, just like I perceived my heart rate did earlier in real life. Could anyone possibly help me out?
Thanks,
Serena

Hello @serenesummer84
Try restarting your Charge 2. You will not lose any of your date by restarting. Look here to see how it’s properly done: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm
You can also try logging out of the Fitbit App, restarting your phone then log back into the Fitbit App to see if that helps as well.
😃Please let me know if restarting answered your issue with a resolution. Keep me posted

I tried both of your solutions. I'll see if they work in the next couple of days and will keep you posted.

Both of your solutions at the same time worked for a couple of days, but, today, I had the same problem. I logged out of the app and then logged back in a couple of times. The app finally picked up the over 100 rate it should've picked up earlier. Do you think logging out of the app, uninstalling it, and then reinstalling it and logging back in might work?
Thanks,
Serena

It certainly wouldn’t hurt @serenesummer84
Take this route…. Log out of your Fitbit App then force shut the app by swiping it upward. Uninstalled the Fitbit App then turn off your phone and wait about 1-2 mins. Turn your phone back on and wait for it to fully load. Now run over to the App Store and download the Fitbit App. Once it downloads simply sign in as you usually do with your username and password. Then sync your device.
😃 Keep me posted on how it goes. I’ll be around

Reinstalling the Fitbit app worked for a while. Here's what has been happening for a while now. I open the Fitbit app. After a few seconds, it finds 80 bpm, 65 bpm resting heart rate. I know my rate isn't 80 because I'm feeling too unhappy! Ten or more minutes later, it finally finds the over 100 rate I believe my heart rate actually is. Does Charge 2 normally take that much time to find the highest rate?
Thanks,
Serena

If your Fitbit is running slow or having sync issues following an update, try resetting your device. In most cases, this requires holding the power button or a combination of buttons for some time until you see the Fitbit logo.
