Hi my brother gifted me Fitbit charge hr. When I try to use it was not working. I plugged it in charger and turned on and start charging. I connected it to phone while connected to charger but as soon as I unplug it from charger it becomes dead. It only works when connected to charger. As soon as  I uplug for use it stopped working

If you mean the original Charge HR, that went out of production several years ago. The battery is likely dead
