Fitbit doesn’t log the right amount of steps when you push a stroller

My Fitbit cheated me out of 1400 steps and said my walk was a bike ride when I was pushing a stroller. Can I put it in my Charge 2 in my pocket and will it count All my steps?

Yes, you should get steps if put in your pocket, but will not get heart rate data.

That happens because your arm is not swinging freely as in normal walking, which is how steps are detected.  The same thing happens if hold hand rail on treadmill.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
