Fitbit heats up when charging

Hi

Charger 4 is only 13 months old but now when charging heats up to the point of being to hot to hold and I think this has perished the holding mechanism for the wrist band so that it has broken.

Obviously I am outside the 12 month warranty but just so annoyed it all seemed to go to pieces so quickly
