Fitbit scrolling through screens and draining battery

I have had my Fitbit for about a year and love it.  A few days ago the watch started scrolling through the screens and draining the battery.  At first I could drain the battery and recharge it and it would stop the scrolling.  Now the watch won't respond to touch or the button on the side.  How can I get it to work again?

I have the same problem since the firmware upgrade!

I've been having exact same problem. I received mine watch January of 2018. I'm wondering if it started after firmware upgrade too. I didn't know about upgrade until I went online to try to find fix for my watch.

I chatted online with a rep today and no luck. Best he would do was give me a 25% discount on a new one but after talking to a few people I'm going to try to get a better resolution. It's obviously some kind of glitch that they should be dealing with. I've had mine since January 2017 so does this mean after 2 years they just screw up? So we have to buy new! Not happy!

I think I fixed my problem by draining the battery completely and letting it sit for one day. After recharging I haven‘t encountered this bug again. Knock on wood.
