My fitbit stopped during the firmware update last night, and now it will not complete the update or sync. I have done everything- restarted it, my phone, uninstalled the app- it's just stuck, and no longer functioning. Anyone else have this issue and you were able to fix it? It just turned itself off, even though it had a full charge. I'm guessing it's just broken now.
Anyone else have this issue and you were able to fix it? I'm so disappointed. I was looking at upgrading to the blaze, but I'm afraid to now that this has happened- what if it has some sort of issue updating that causes this as well? 😞

This just happened to me as well. I have an iPhone 5, and it only gets half of the way through the update before stalling and won't sync with my Charge HR anymore either. HELP!

I have an HTC one M8 android phone and the same thing has happened during the update. I have tried a factory reset, but it is unresponsive, I have unpaired and tried repairing but although the device is recognised my phone give me a messager saying that the pin is incorrect and it cannot be paired. when the fitbit button is pressed I get a half filled bar and other than that, the fitbit is dead to the world

Mine stopped about half way through...something about my Bluetooth. When that happened, I stopped the update on my phone and backed out, plugged in the band for charging and when I unplugged it, it was working.
I'm reluctant to do any updates since the Fitbit is so touchy with my S5 that half the time, I have to manually sync it. I think until something is posted here about a patch or fix, I will just ignore the red update.

i had the same thing happen. It got really hot during the update and shut off. I called the company and they are sending me a new one. You should call them.

FITBIT FREEZING IN MIDDLE OF AN UPDATE
My fitbit app noted that there was an update available. I followed instructions to start the update. The tracker showed a progress bar on the black screen. Halfway thru it froze. I could not restart the tracker, unpair it, turn it off - nothing worked, the tracker and app would not respond.
I went to this community page and noticed that several people had the same issue. I noted one agent suggested using remove this charge HR from the settings in the fitbit app and setting it up again, however in the middle of an update, the app will not let you do this.
I contacted live chat; the agent suggested powering down my iphone and turning it back on again. This worked to "unfreeze" the tracker and return it to normal and we tried the update again, here's what we did:
You could also try the update by connecting your tracker directly to your computet instead of using your phone.
I hope this helps...I also suggested to the agent who helped me that they post this solution on the community board

I have faced same issue as well... I tried to update firmware a day before yesterday n since that it's stucked on half way processing bar... nothing happening with the tracker... try to restart n reset as well but not responding at all... once dried the whole charging n got blackout on tracker but as I charged again that half way processing bar comes on screen. For this issue mailed to Fitbit customer care n even chat yesterday night but issue still unresolved n even no response from Fitbit team as per chat person assured me will get mail from higher supporting team but no response at all.

Are you moving it? Looking at it?
I find when an update comes down I need to let it do it thing. I walk away. I plug it in see the update come down and i walk away. It works every time. I think people get to hurried for some reason
