After OnePlus 5 system update into Android 9 and the regular update for FitBit app, my Charge 2 don't sync anymore. FitBit app is saying error "Bluetooth issues - if you see this message for the first time, press "cancel" and try again. If you continue referring this message, press "Restart Bluetooth" to turn Bluetooth off and on." I've tried that multiple times, just don't work.
I've done hard reset to fit bit charge 2, re-installed the Fitbit app, opened my phone off and on, multiple times, not working.
Would be nice to hear could the Android 9 update be the reason here or was it just coincidence. If any help, much appreciated.

Hey @SunsetRunner, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! Because this phone model, the OnePlus 5 is not a compatible device, you might experience syncing issues. If it worked before, maybe it was because it still under testing, so I will ask you to be patient while our team is working in order to add more devices to that list. In the meantime, you can try the troubleshooting in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Hope that helps!

Hello @SunsetRunner - I had the same issue with my OnePlus 5 and Fitbit Alta. It stopped sync after updating to Android Pie.
I managed to get them to sync again by doing a "Forget Device" in the bluetooth settings.

Hi, unfortunately this isn't working in my case.

Unfortunately the problem is still ongoing. I haven't had ever any problems with OnePlus 5 over 1,5 years syncing with Fitbit. But after the major big update to Android version 9 the Bluetooth sync connection somehow started.

Hi.
Same as AVMSantiago.
I also have an OnePlus 5 and a fitbit charge 2, and it had exactly the same symptoms as yours.
Steps that I have done to make it work:
1 - deleted the device on fitbit app
2 - deleted/forget fitbit charge 2 on my phone´s bluetooth devices (on the list of "Previously connected devices")
3 - Connected fitbit charger on charge 2 device
4 - Select "pair new device" on fitbit app
5 - While fitbit app was searching for the new device, long press on fitbit charge 2 button (10 to 12 secs) until it restarts. (important step, because if I only try to search for it without restarting the device, it will not find it.)

@AVMSantiago @rdestevao A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that your tracker's aren't syncing.
@SunsetRunner @rdestevao Which phone are you using? Is it compatible? You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
Please be aware that Android users are having issues syncing with Android 9 (Pie), you can check this thread to keep up to date with this.
@AVMSantiago happy to hear that you were able to sync your tracker and thank you for sharing your suggestions.
Let me know how it goes!

As the topic implies, One Plus 5. Funny thing is that it's been working nicely with that phone for 1,5 years.
It looks that the timing fits with the Android 9 Pie update.
Too bad that system updates apparently are forcing consumers to update their devices too. If choosing which I wanna change - phone or an activity monitor, it's definitely the activity monitor. And probably not FitBit after this experience.

Hello @SunsetRunner - I had the same issue with my OnePlus 5 and Fitbit Alta. It stopped sync after updating to Android Pie.

I have OnePlus Slate 5 (8gb 128gb) Founders (Original first 100) and that solution worked!
the Key here is to NOT add it back to BT, and the Versa 2 syncs over BTLE signal, so what was happening is the device being added overrules BTLE signal!! forgetting the device and syncing from the APP while the device is unpaired. works!
