Fitbit won't work since update

Since the recent update, my Charge 4 is unusable.  Screen keeps reverting to black and I have to reset the brightening screen;  It will not sync; half the dashboard has disappeared:  it no longer monitors sleep, health etc etc.  
Anybody any advice please?

I had exactly the same if you read the forums lots of people have. 
move been in touch with fit bit 

firstly change the clock face 

but then my battery still needs charging every 12 hours guess what out if warranty offered me 35% discount

theres hundreds on here with the same issue 

I’ve dug an old one out and haven’t processed the update and it’s fine

its defo something that’s happened in the background

same thing here. after the update the device just stopped. I spoke with fitbit support and they offered me a free replacement or a discount on an upgrade. I love my charge 4 so I chose the free replacement. got an email that the package shipped on friday 9/16- and now nothing. tracking is stuck. says it hasnt been picked up by carrier. zero movement. three calls to fitbit and I keep getting a different story. They are giving me the runaround and I suspect I will never get this replacement. I have screenshots of my chats, my reference numbers, and everyone's names and I do plan to pursue this as far as I need to go so they better get their act together and do what is right.

Hi @allykat0320, I’m glad that you were within your warranty.  Two things that you should know, your replacement will most likely be a refurbished pebble (no band or charger) and the warranty for your replacement expires on your original Charge 4 expiration date, so if you have any problems with your replacement don’t hesitate to contact Support while you are still eligible for another replacement or 50%off offer. I hope that you have no issues and your replacement lasts a long time. Good luck.

Restarted twice. Still no heat rate, sleep scores, etc. heart rate is grayed out!

I am having no joy ever since the update as well.  I have already tried restart the device, both hard and soft, but no dice.

 

Heart rate is erratic.

No consistent sleep score.

No notifications are being received.

 

I really enjoy my Charge 4 (when functioning).  Is there a way to reload the last/earlier version of the firmware?

Please advise.

Support agreed my Charge 4 was DOA so I was offered a 35% discount on a new device.  Went for the Charge 5 w/ six months free premium.  So far, I have not been disappointed.  Thanks again!!
