Won't sync to app or be recognized by Bluetooth for over a 2 month period now.

Hi @Luvsmurph and welcome to the forums! The first thing to do is to check to make sure your Fitbit app and phone OS have both been updated to the latest versions. If it still won’t sync, try restarting it three times. You can find other troubleshooting tips here

I have this issue all the time. I tried something different today and logged out of my account and logged back in that sorted it out

It is helpful to include the device the app is on, when asking about the app. 

Logging out/in on android often helps. Clearing the apps cache is also good.
