So I got a Fitbit charge 4 for Mother’s Day to replace the previous one that I had for 4-5 years. First off, the Fitbit wasn’t getting as many steps as my older one. (To test the theory, I wore both for 2 days). Then between the band and screen kept filling up with dust and dirt. It almost lasted 2 years until last week I was walking and it just fell off my wrist. I thought it was just the band at first bc I’ve replaced the bands in the past…but turns out the piece that holds onto the band completely broke off. Apparently it decided it no longer wanted to work anymore. Is it me or is everything lately made cheaper so it breaks and you have to replace it and spend more money with the company.

@Jhanley1202 I'm moving your post to the Charge 4 forum, since it has its own device forum. I don't use a Charge 4, so I don't have any insight. I hope another user can help you.

@Jhanley1202 yes the fragile band connectors are a clear engineering flaw of this device and there is nothing you can do. And i agree, fitbit quality is no longer the same since quite some time.

Yes, the Charge 4 has numerous flaws & defects, (the broken connector being one of them) just look over the comments on the forum. I am on my second one in 2 years. The quality and workmanship have definitely declined. Amazon sells third party bands
that the pebble will fit into eliminating the connector, so you can still use your device. Good luck
