i have turned the heart rate monitor off, reset the device, turned off all the relevant settings on the app...but the green light continues to monitor constantly. are their any fixes for the green light flashing? i dont like the idea that its continually monitoring me without my permission... and also wasting the battery on nothing.

@bobjoneband , Nice to see you here. Thank you for your message and efforts. 

When you turn the heart rate on the Charge 4, the LEDs might still be on. That's normal so. It might take a moment after setting changes for the tracker to display any measurements or none at all. 

Now with the settings on off, how does the heart on the Charge 4 look? Is it filled, blinking, empty?

If it's blinking it means that measurements are taken. If you see it black or empty it does not, and the number at it side, might be your last measurement, or resting heart rate
