This is my second Fitbit, first one was replaced after an update for displaying the wrong heart rate for weeks.
I've had my Fitbit on charge all morning, ran the update and I've done 2500 steps, and apparently over 100 active minutes and burned nearly 4000 calories even though I haven't done a thing all afternoon.
I've been sat down for about an hour and my heart rate is nearly 150bpm and won't drop below 123bpm. The exact same thing happened to my last one. Apparently earlier my heart rate was over 200bpm for over 45 minutes?!
This is a joke. I'm out of warranty so cant receive another replacement and I'm absolutely furious. Has anyone else noticed this today?
Yesterday my resting heart rate was 62 and today it's 123. Let's hope I survive the morning and don't have a heart attack before I get to read the responses to this post.

Hello @fernoliviab, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back.
I appreciate the details that were shared in your post, totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. I'd like to share with you that heart rate readings can be affected by several factors including air temperature, stress level, physical body position, and medication use.
If you were exercising when you noticed discrepancies in your heart-rate readings, the type of exercise or the position of the device may be the cause. See our help article for more information.
Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Ricardo,
I had been sat down for around 2 hours, and my fitbit was at 150-170bpm. That is absolutely not normal for me. The last few days I turn it on and it has my BPM at 120 resting, when it's been 60-70 every day for the last couple of months. Who has a resting BPM that high? I'd be in hospital.
Please can somebody reply who can actually answer my question without pasting from a script?
