Heart Rate missing since July 29?

My last walk dated July 27 had heart rate, next walk July 29 gone! And haven't seen it in the app tracking my walks since! What happened Fitbit team? Why a loss of so important a feature? Has anyone come up with a fix? Or cause?

It is my understanding, they did this to get more people to upgrade. If so whats to stop them from doing it to the next one.

So I did the update, walked this morning and the app still does not show heart rate. How do I get this back? Or is it just not offered any longer?

Hi Groovyfingers, This exact problem is being discussed at:

and about 5 other groups. I am aware of about 70 people with the exact same issue. The best action is to nag Customer Support about it. That will be frustrating but if we only moan about it in a forum nothing will happen as it doesn't seem to be that widespread a problem. We have been to try all sorts of things by Customer Support but none of them has done any good so far. I have a replacement FitBit Alta HR arriving on Monday. I don't think it's going to do any good but I live in hope.
