Heart rate too high.

Okay so i'm completely new to this. My dad got me a Fitbit Charge 2 yesterday. Today I noticed the heart rate was unusually high. I was sitting on a chair talking to the family and it said I was 99bpm. So I told my dad and he told me to try his one which is older. I did and it said it was around 70ish. He also tried mine and compared it to a watch he had on which also does heart rate and my fitbit showed his as way higher too. So I was wondering if anyone knows why this is happening. Did I set it up wrong?

I found the same issue with my new Fitbit.  The response does not address the issue.  Did you find a reason?  Is it a software bug?

I noticed that mine was registering my heart rate at 122 when I was folding laundry tonight. My heart rate is rarely that high so when it is I can feel it. I took my blood pressure with a cuff that also reads puse and it read 77. I think that there is something off.

Hi there!

This may happen if you have extrasystoles. Extrasystoles are a premature contraction of the heart (quite common, actually). The wristband might pick those falsley up as higher bpm.

You can look at all the posts regarding Fitbit you like and you still have a very unreliable heart rate monitor. You keep fobbing people off on this issue and are currently been sued for your inaccurate product. I have a fitbit charge and its the biggest waste of £200 ever. When you know its wrong either admit it or shut up about it.
