Horizontal lines on Charge 3 screen

This morning my Fitbit was fine, but when I put it on charge I noticed white horizontal lines on my screen and my Fitbit not acting right at all. It won’t do any commands I’m telling it to do, it just does what it wants to. The screen moves on its own. I’ve tried many troubleshooting techniques and nothing has worked. It’s never been wet. I got it for Christmas so it’s not even that old.

Same issue, got it less than a year ago and worked great up until this last week. Have tried the suggested fixes and am hoping that someone has figured out a fix for this.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I'm having the same issue with my charger 3 - black horizontal lines on my screen. I have tired resetting it and changing the clock face but the black lines are still there. I have had my fitbit for just under a year. Please let me know the easiest way to solute this problem.

Thanks!

I purchased a charge 3 in Oct 2019. Horizontal lines started about 2 months ago. I have tried all the suggested fixes with no luck. Help!

I’m having this issue now, and this is a replacement that I received in May or June. I don’t think my Fitbit is under warranty anymore, but let me tell you, this was my 2nd replacement since buying the Charge3 in July 2019. The first one stopped syncing in November. Fitbit replaced it. That replacement lasted until May or June, and it started getting lines. More and more lines each day, and then it just died. The screen stayed blank. Fitbit replaced that one. And now here I am, just a few months later, and the same issue as the last seems to be happening. I wondered if maybe my charger was culprit, since I’ve had it for all 3 of these trackers. Or maybe it’s a really common problem?! It’s really hard to believe that I would get 3 lemons. My charge2 lasted 2 years. No problems other than a cracked screen! It was still technically working when I traded it in for the charge3. But after these issues with charge3, I’ve determined that if I’m outside the warranty window, I’m going to try a different brand tracker.

I am having the same issue with horizontal lines. I did the 8 second restart, the 15 second restart, and changed the clock face multiple times. My Fitbit is fully charged.

I contacted Fitbit on the online chat and they suggested ways to trouble shoot it. They didn’t work so because it was in warranty they could offer a replacement. I hope you all get sorted

I got offered a replacement because mine was only a few months old and it arrived today.  Thing is Ive lost faith in it now so Ive bought a Garmin.

I am having the same issue with horizontal lines. It's fully charged. Tried the 8 second restart, the 15 second restart, and changed the clock face multiple times. The charge 3 is fading. It still keeps data and talks with my phone. Lost my receipt!

Hi

Thank you for coming back to me. I had a problem with my previous Fitbit
Charge 3, which was still under guarantee. It had the horizontal lines and
one of FITBIT consultants assisted me and finally the watch was replaced
about 1.5 years ago. I cannot recall the exact date.

The new watch has the same problem now. Horizontal lines on the face. I
have changed the face, I also restarted the watch and none of the 2
methods solved the problem, The face is now totally blank, although it
still syncs to the app.

I don't know if you have an alternative method to fix the screen, but now
the watch is useless to me.

It will be great if you have a method to fix it as I am aware that it is
not under guarantee anymore..

Kind regards

I don't think you need your receipt. When you register with Fitbit, they
have your information. I think you give them your username and email
address. Give them a call.

Hi there, I’m having the same problem, and the horizontal lines are increasing daily, I now can’t see the time or date.

I read about and tried to long reset, no change, and my Fitbit is fully charged. It still syncs, has had no bumps or damage. It is just over a year old, Xmas pressie last year-but previous trackers have lasted longer. Is there any hope?

Sorry. But probably not. I would reach out to customer service and it is
possible they may give you a discount on another FitBit or something like
that. It's worth a try.

My third Charge 3 now has lines and is beginning to be difficult to read.
I hope the Charge 4 is better in that regard. I love the features of the
Charge 3.

I have had my fitbit since 2019.  Had 2 replacements to fix the brightness issue (too bright at not; can't see display in sunlight).  That never got fixed and now I am also getting the lines on the display.  I have done all the recommendations on this Thread and nothing works.

Thanks

So scared of being put on hold 😂
I get about 3 minutes between appointments just now, a quick email/message is ok. Being on hold, or having to jump off the call puts me off phoning 🙈
