Everyday I get notifications telling me that either I need a certain amount of steps to reach my goal, or that I'm an over achiever with so many steps above my daily goal. That's great, however I now have 198 notifications showing. How can I delete all these older ones? Thanks!

I revisited the notifications issue this morning and am now more baffled. I have scrolled down and can see 148 notifications since 2017. I tried something new and have had limited success.I held down the shift button and then clicked the left mouse button on the three dots to the left of each notification. So far in 5 minutes I have reduced the figure to 141. Still very hit and miss.
You can't apparently. I have notifications going back 17 months.
I agree. They advertise their programs, but there's no way they are getting any more of my money unless they start caring about what their customers want!
You cant. Mine go back to April 2018
For some reason, Fitbit techs cant figure out how to add a delete button
At the moment mine are from October 2017 to June 2018. No help from anywhere. Fitbit don't even seem to acknowledge that the rolling deletions part of their app doesn't work in these cases.
Mods, are you serious I cannot delete the fitbit notifications on my phone but within the fitbit app. I have notifications from fitbit saying "smart track just auto recognised your exercise" going back to may 2018, thats a lot longer than 30 days!! Done all advised in thread, even done soft reboot, hard reboot and reinstalled fitbit, but they will not go. Looks like another fitbit ignore customers issues again, really fitbit why can you not help your customers?
So, just a needless update, but I did everything from uninstalling the app, reinstalling, clearing cache, etc. Sometimes the messages will disappear for all of a few hours. That’s it. I even had a few “older” ones disappear for a few days and I thought, “Oh, so it takes 6 months or more.” But, no, they reappear a few days later. 😡
So in reality, not one single message actually disappeared yet. Not one. That’s a year + here.
You’d think they would be smart enough to WANT to delete old messages too rather than keep every single message from every single user and clog up their servers to the max. But I guess their elevators don’t go to the top floor.
Not sure what they have done now, but my notifications are going back to August 2017 again.
The moderators certainly seem to be wearing blinkers where this problem is concerned.
I tried to look at the online dashboard on my phone but the notifications on there won't load, I just get the ever spinning circle. So I can't see what is going on there. I guess the rest of us have tried and failed there as well.
@LizFitbit can you get an answer for us?
I purchased a new fitbit but when I set it up there was 60 messages from the latter part of 2017 until now notifying me of my status for certain days.
Hi @BettieBentley you'd better get used to those notifications because I don't think you're going to get rid of them. I certainly can't get rid of mine.
This is one of those things where having told you to jump through all the usual hoops you get met with silence when you tell them it doesn't work.
