How do I register basketball?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got the Charge 2 and went out to play basketball today. I was running the length of the court and my Fitbit was registering 8 steps. Am I doing something wrong? I played full court basketball for almost an hour and had a little over 4500 steps. Is there a specific app for playing basketball or tennis?

I just got the charge 2 and play in a basketball league where you can't wear watches/jewelry/etc while playing. What can I do to log my playing without having it on my arm? I read somewhere else that someone wore a sweatband over theirs and it stopped working so there goes that idea.

If you have a pocket, you can put there. Or, wear it on your ankle.

Hi Darth_Doi- I use the FitBit for basketball and soccer and it works great using a wrist band. I have never had any issues for two years.

Where did you see that? do you remember what they said?

Welcome to the Community @HagDavis@Darth_Doi@Choctaw970 and @DdotReckless it's great to see you around.

I just want to let you know that I have moved your post from the Blaze board to the Charge 2 board to keep the order in our Forums. Also, as you can see in the attached image, you can add several exercises but basketball isn't one of them.

If you are interested in adding one of the exercise shortcuts to your Charge 2, you can follow the instructions provided in the How do I customize the exercises on my Fitbit device? article.

Now about your main inquiry, if you can't wear your tracker while playing basketball you can manually add this sport by following the instructions provided in the How do I manually log an activity or exercise? article. If you can wear it, you just need to place your Charge 2 on your wrist and it will automatically detect the exercise as Sport.

I hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else. Robot Happy

Nothing you described, or on the link, is on my iOS or Win 10 screens!

I wear a sweatband over mine (and I play 4-5 times a week) and have never had a problem with it not working.  I let it auto-track and it usually picks it up as "Sport" and later I go in and change it to Basketball.

I also love basketball like you, I'm sure of it. I would really like if someone advised me a couple of sites where I can find basketball lessons. I will be grateful
