How do I track Body Pump?

Hello, I have a Fitbit Charge 4 and do Body Pump (Les Mills) Frequently. How do I best track this workout?

Body pump is usually 55 minutes long and 10 tracks of 5 minutes each, squats, lunges, chest, back, shoulders, biceps, triceps, core. Half of the tracks are weight bearing (plates or barbell/smart bar).

I have options like Weights, Interval Workout out, Circuit training, Workout, Bootcamp. Which of this is the best to track Body Pump?

Welcome to the Community, @ADRBR.

My recommendation here to track body pump, is to use the workout "Weights". You can select this exercise directly from your Charge 4. For more information, check the article: How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?.

Let me know if you need anything else.

@AlejandraFitbit, is there any particular 'science' behind you recommending 'Weights' instead of 'Workout', 'Circuit' or other options? Body Pump is not just weights and there is a lot of movement so tracking heart rate and other parameters would be important.

I also do Bodypump however if he Fitbit doesn’t seem able to accurately lift my heart rate. For example when I’m doing the squat track it says my heart rate is 78, eh definitely not, more up at around 145! I think it’s something to do with having my arms up to hold the weight. It’s disappointing as the calorie back run isn’t accurate.

I only seen to have walk, run, swim, treadmill, outdoor activity as patios on my charge 4? Can I add Body pump, I’ve looked and can’t seem to find the option anywhere for this. Thanks

Thanks @mjvalentine.xo@Jeni.Scotland and @Dee_66! Personally I keep using 'workout' but clearly has limitations and it's very approximative..

Unfortunately as you can see there was already very limited support from Fitbit and after Google acquired it then things are much worse 🙂

@AlejandraFitbit didn't log in since 17th December 2021... she probably moved on and none replaced her..
