How do I track Hockey with my Charge 3?

How do I get my Charge 3 to measure/register when I play hockey?

It has either not registered, or shown as "Sport" or "Elliptical" - but the times/heart rates are off

Hello there @Tkachukbuddy, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided, I'll be glad to help you with your inquiry about tracking hockey with your Charge 3.

When a specific exercise is not available within the exercises we offer, we suggest to use "Workout". Once you finish your play, you can rename the activity to Hockey.

Please note that when renaming the activity from Workout to Hockey, the information to enter will change depending on the nature of the exercise. To give you an example if you change a workout to Run, it wont remove the calories but will add distance and this happen depending of the activity you are categorizing.

For more information, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Let me know if there's anything else I may do to help you.

Thanks, on my Fitbit I don't have the option of "Workout" - when I scroll right form the main screen I can select "Exercise" and then have 6 options: Run, Bike, Swim, Treadmill, Weights, Walk.

This morning I chose weights, it did capture my heart rate and shows calories, etc. Not sure how to change things to select "Workout" or "Sport" (which I have seen as options elsewhere)

I also don't see how I can edit the exercise name on my phone (I have an Android).

Thanks for your help!

Hi there @Tkachukbuddy, thanks for getting back.

To add "Workout" to your Charge 3, follow the steps in the article: Can I reorder the exercise shortcuts on my Fitbit device?

In regards to edit your activity on your Android phone, follow the steps below:

  1. Tap the Today tab, then tap the Exercise tile

    .
  2. Tap the exercise you want to edit or delete.
  3. To delete the exercise, tap the trash icon. To edit the exercise, tap the pencil icon. To edit the type of exercise (for example, to change a walk to a hike), choose a different exercise type and tap Log It.
