No matter how much I try to get used to it, the vibrate notifications when I reach 10,000 steps is more than just a nuisance, it's a hazzard! I was injured because of it. After a walk I was working in the yard and was in a necessarily awkward position while I was turning an underground valve. At the most critical moment the vibrate went off and my involuntary reaction to it tweaked my back. The problem is not with me, it's with this device. So this device which is supposed to help me pursue good health injured me. Is my only protection to change my goals to some unreachable number so I don't get shocked?

You can turn them off by going to the quick settings and turning off notifications. You can also adjust how strong the vibrations are in the device settings and you can adjust other notifications in the same device setting and on the Fitbit app.

Would that be permanent, or must I do this every time I put the watch on my wrist? Thanks.

Hi, sorry I'm late to the party but has this been solved at all? My charge 4 vibrated at me during yoga. Yoga! Like have some tact man.
I am being dramatic but I've never been so disappointed in a device. Not everybody likes to be buzzed at and annoyed throughout their day. How is it possible there's no way to turn off notifications? Honestly no one thought of it? And now that we're here, thinking of it, what's the fix Fitbit?

I just want the vibration off when I get a text. Why isn’t there a way to adjust settings of notifications? Fitbit is insanely hard to figure out.
