They get updated when you sync it with the app (it will match the time and date of your phone / tablet).

Best AnswerI have tried all these things, but my watch refuses to update to the new timezone after syncing. What are all the conditions required to update? What is the use of a watch that you can’t update the time!! I currently only have SOS connection to the Telstra mobile network, but do have full internet connection via wifi. Does that make a difference?
