How does the weather app work and can I get it on main screen?

I am unsure how it picks up my location but does it need to be connected to internet continuously via my phone or tablet? Also, can I have it in main screen?

@Dreamyone   The weather app uses your phone's GPS to determine your current location.  Your Fitbit app needs to be running in the background and your phone/tablet needs to be in Bluetooth range to keep it updated.  If by having it on your main screen, you want it on your clock face, the answer is no.
