A warm welcome to the Community @PacPah! Your cardio fitness score is determined by your resting heart rate, age, sex, weight, and other personal information. It's important to make sure that your weight is properly entered on your Dashboard, this will ensure that your cardio fitness score is correct.
Also, you need to wear your tracker or watch to sleep for a better resting heart rate estimate.
If your Fitbit device connects to GPS, we can provide a more precise estimate of your score using the relationship between pace and heart rate during your runs. This is because individuals with higher VO2 Max have a lower heart rate while running at the same pace compared to individuals with lower VO2 Max. If you're able to run at a comfortable pace for at least 10 minutes, track a run with GPS. We recommend running on flat terrain as much as possible since only the flat sections of your run count towards your score estimate. You may need to go on several runs that are at least 10 minutes in length to affect your score.
Hope this helps. I'll be around if you need to clarify any information.

Welcome to the Community @RichA03. Sorry for the delayed reply.
if you refer to the algorithms, let me share that we cannot disclose that but you can take a look to the information I posted above. Your cardio fitness score is determined by your resting heart rate, age, sex, weight, and other personal information. For best results, make sure your weight is correct in your Fitbit profile. Also, wear your tracker or watch to sleep for a better resting heart rate estimate. Your cardio fitness score will be shown as a range unless you use GPS for runs. You can learn more about it by checking this article: What is my cardio fitness score?
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

How many days of resting heart rate is considered in the cardio fitness score? Does it look at the past week or month? I notice my score changes depending on my resting heart rate, which varies more than my exercise routine or weight. Thanks.

I have two issues 1) i got a new Watch and it was reading about 8 points higher RHT until I reset it and now it’s back down to what it was before however, it’s still reading a low cardio fitness score. If resting heart rate is the biggest factor, why wouldn’t the change also reflect in the score?
2) other online fitness calculators give me great scores but the Fitbit puts me at average to below average. Why is that?

My Fitbit just synced this morning to rewrite all of my previous information incorrectly. It now says my sleep every night was between 5pm and 3am. All of my data is now wrong including heart rate and workouts. I’ve hit sync numerous times and it won’t change. What just happened?
