How to change the date on my Fitbit

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

In Feb I charged the battery but it stopped working, I thought maybe it got wet while I was doing dishes...put it away and stopped wearing my Fitbit, I've just bought it for New Year present to myself.  Last week came upon my Fitbit and recharged the battery to check for sure before tossing it out and pleasantly surprised to have it working again!  But the date is  on it now is Feb. 22.  How do I change that to the current date?  Would love some help here, thank you!

Is this Charge 2 still connected to your Fitbit account? If so then all you need to do is sync tye tracker?

If not you will need to set it up again.

I have the Fitbit account and it says the last sync : January 25.
I don't see a button to sync it on my laptop. Do I need to download the Fitbit app on my iPhone to do this? Thanks.

@juststarting I hope you're doing well! Thank you for responding to @Rich_Laue questions. This seems like a syncing issue. If your tracker doesn't sync periodically it may lose the correct time. Since you are using a laptop it should have Windows 10 or Mac and a bluetooth 4.0 chip. You can download the Fitbit software and use it to sync your tracker with it. Once it syncs the time will be updated. You may also need to restart your tracker by doing the following:

Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.

Let me know how it goes!

My problem is incorrect time displayed - how can I adjust it?

@jejd Thanks for stopping by!

@juststarting Happy to hear that your tracker is now syncing and showing the correct time!

@jejd If your tracker is syncing but not showing the correct time then you can change the settings to the correct timezone then sync and this should fix the issue. If it isn't syncing then try the suggestions in my previous post.

@claude143  The tracker gets date and time from phone every time it syncs.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@claude143 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply. As @JohnnyRow said your tracker will use the data from your phone or computer once you sync so it is a good idea to sync it periodically. Did you try doing this and did the date got updated?

I look forward to your reply!

Hi

Have not used my Fitbit for about three months and now the date is incorrect.

How can I regulate it to today’s date?

@Bellavista simply open the app, log into your account and let the tracker sync.

I plugged the fitbit charger into my laptop. It has 3/4 full power. It records my steps accurately.

The notification works. But the date and time are still not correct.

How do I sync it ?

Frustrated,

kufborg

How can I change the date and time on my Fitbit Charge 2.

The time is about an hour and a half slow and the date says 31st March and today is 28th April.

Look forward to hearing from you.
