How to easily force sync

Why is there not a prominent "Sync Now" button to the right of the Last Sync time at the top of the dashboard. Spent a half hour trying to force sync. Can"t do it. Instructions to click on account icon - what is this, the image is so poor I can't find it anywhere. Very frustrated. Do the web site designers ever use their web site?

Everything I've seen is regarding the difficulty syncing with windows. I'm on a Macbook Pro, and my iPhone died, so I have no way to add my information. Is there a magic button for the Mac? Dongle is in place and worked last week, but nada today.

A bunch of IT tech's writing code for other IT tech's. Fit Bit has just
gotten too big and they just change things for the sake of change. Just a
thought.

I'm a new user and just spent a lot of time working out that syncing is only available through the phone/phone app. 

It's been a confusion for years evidently. Why doesn't the Fitbit FAQ clarify that syncing is only through the phone app ?

Am I missing something ? Just seems so odd. Thanks !!

Actually @ntwigg Fitbit is making things more standardized. 

To refresh a webpage, put finger on screen and pull down. 

To refresh email, put finger on screen and pull down. 

To refresh Facebook, put finger on screen and pull down. 

To refresh Twitter, put finger on screen and pull down. 

To refresh YouTube, put finger on screen and pull down. 

To refresh Twitter, put finger on screen and pull down. 

To sync and refresh your Fitbit data, that is correct, put finger on screen and pull down.
