Why is there not a prominent "Sync Now" button to the right of the Last Sync time at the top of the dashboard. Spent a half hour trying to force sync. Can"t do it. Instructions to click on account icon - what is this, the image is so poor I can't find it anywhere. Very frustrated. Do the web site designers ever use their web site?

@LoulouKay Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my response and to hear about your Charge 2 not syncing with your Windows 10 computer. Try removing all devices on the bluetooth list from your Windows 10 computer, restart it and restart your Charge 2 by doing the following:
Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
After this retry syncing them.
@BMWTriumphant happy to hear that you are able to sync your tracker using your mobile device.
Keep me posted!

I installed Fitbit on my iPhone 2 days ago because it was recommended to me by Medicare. It is the "worst" step tracking application I've ever used (I have used 3 more applications before). I also have Activity Tracker installed on my iPhone presently. The problems is there is no real-time synch. Nothing happens when I click on synch following the instructions. The only way for me to synch. is to go back and remove the device and come back, and for some curious reason, I have to turn blue tooth on and off. I think this is insane. The activity tracker correctly tells me exactly how many steps I take every time I walk. Why doesn't Fitbit work like that? I also don't buy the security argument. I am an IT guy. I will switch to another application Medicare recommends.

The app stopped working for me--it just **ahem**s down. I am told they are "working" on it. I HATE the latest version. I also cannot sync from my WIN 7 desktop. It used to but as usual, changes are not for the better.

I don't have that icon on the dashboard

@commname52 which icon are you asking about, and is this the dashboard on the app or web?

The app may not be like the app n the PC.
What operating system is on the pc?
Are you using the win 10 app or Fitbit connect. Both have a sync now in their settings. Fitbit connect has a setting for adding a sync button by the Clock, I assume the win 10 app also will.

Down by the clock, there should be a Fitbit icon. Do a right click and a left click on sync now.

What is a do but icon? There is no icon by the clock at the lower right corner.
Why do I continue to get some imaginary solutions to what should be a simple question? How do I sync ym devices (computer to phone to wristband)?

The fitbit app is poor. Periodically it decides not to sync for a few days even when the all day sync is on and the phone is in my pocket while I am wearing the fitbit. And if I try to sync manually I get the red ! or else it just doesn't sync.
I have a cheap chinese device that works better. How hard can it be to connect with bluetooth and read the data in the fitbit?
I shouldn't have to do all of these "restart this, restart that, stand on your head, spin all about" to have my phone connect and read the data.

Samsung J3 Prime. Worked until a few days ago. This has happened before. Syncing will be fine for a week or two and then suddenly stop. Typically I try a bunch of stuff and it comes back Occasionally I have to install the app on a tablet and then it will sync to the tablet and show up on the phone.
I don't understand why Fitbit can't make syncing dependable.

delbor, your phone is not on the Approved Devices list so may work for some functions and not others. The J3 is there but not a J3 Prime. I suspect that is at least part of your problem.

Been working mostly fine. Are you official support, or just a helpful individual?

One other thing....If I try to refresh by swiping down on "today" screen, it sometimes flashes "no device found". Perhaps somehow it paired with some other device....
Should it show up as Paired in settings?
