Inaccurate floor counts

I’m a long haul flatbed trucker and I have noticed that the charge 3 is really confused about counting floors when I’m driving. Just about every overpass I go over counts as a floor and when driving in the mountains I somehow walked up 500 floors in one day. I have taken to removing the device when driving so it doesn’t count arm movements as steps but that doesn’t help with the floor count. Is there a way to simply turn it off when I’m driving?
