Mine started doing it yesterday and I was in bed all day sick. It showed 9 stairs! No way! This morning it was showing I had completed 1 flight before I even got out of bed. It makes me wonder how accurate the other items could be.
Update: it's back to normal. It may be weather related. We had couple day windy cold snap in my area when it started.. after the weather changed its normal again.
This is just 1 of the items I am trying to get a solution to with Fitbit support. They have provided excuses for why this may happen which merely illustrates the unreliability of the C3 and the lies in the advertising literature. This together with the inaccurate step counts, step counts while driving, nonsense sleep data, total refusal to reconnect with the Win 10 app and regular failures to sync make me regret upgrading to this expensive, good looking and comfortable piece of rubbish.
Yes, now today, my dashboard won't show my 250 steps each hour. I have only had this thing 2 days. I am considering returning it and trying something else. It is my first fitbit. Thus far, it is not living up to expectations.
I got four flights walking from my bed to my bathroom. This is ridiculous. Fitbit is known for high counts on steps and stairs. WTF, Fitbit? Yesterday I got over 7,000 steps just playing my bass guitar in practice. My Garmin Vivosmarts and Amazefit Bip NEVER registered steps when playing the guitar. I an SOOOOoooooo... experiencing buyer's remorse with Fitbit. I thought they were an industry leader, but they have apparently chosen to overcount to make their users feel better. That or they are technically incompetent. Either way, Fitbit has issues (that's the nicest way I can say that...). I'm probably going to return my Charge 3 and get another Garmin. So disappointed.
i used my fitbit charge for the first time today and got a reward for doing 16 floors... while i did was walk down the street for my walk.. its great that i can get rewards but let me do the actual exercise before giving me it...... is there a way to fix this? please and thank you
