Incorrect step count on Charge 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought Charge 2 few months back. First device showed big error in recording steps covered and stairs climbed. After prolonged correspondence Fitbit accepted the device was defective and a replacement was arranged with as assurance that the defect was one off and wont repeat. Second device once again showed same errors. Fitbit came up with several explanations for error like changes in pressure, moisture and sudden jerks. Fitbit once again agreed to replace the device but are not committing defect free functioning. Did anyone faced similar problem?

@RajivBharat Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!

Let me help you with your Charge 2. What type of issue are you seeing on your device? Is it overcounting or undercounting steps? Have you seen this happening in specific situations?

I look forward to your reply.

I have faced following issues with Charge 2:

Steps:

1. During brisk walk device counts app. 5 to 7 steps lesser than actual. This has been established by controlled walking over 100 steps.

2. During brisk walk the device records climb of 1 floor even if the gradient change during entire walk may not be more than 1 meter.

3. During bike ride or Car ride device counts steps but number of steps counted is not regular.

4. During stair climb device counts less number of floors. Usually my climb is 6 to 7 floors of 20 steps each. It records 5 floors or occasionally 6 floors as climb.

So far all my concerns have been stone walled by Fitbit team citing external conditions.

Will appreciate a solution.
