I've recently started having issues with Fitbit under reporting my distances when running. Im pretty sure its something to do with connected GPS. If you take a look at runs in the past, you can see a smooth GPS track all the way through my run. Now when i look at my runs i can see that my GPS is tracking very erratically. It looks like I am doing u-turns all the way through my run.
here is a comparison:
Has anyone had a similar issue or know how to fix it?

Yes, other people are seeing this. Distance readings do have some inherent inaccuracies, but recently things seem to have become much worse, which seems to coincide with recent software updates.

My own personal latest report is here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-3/GPS-distance-totally-wrong-on-Charge-3/m-p/4211792/highligh...

Ah brilliant, seems to be exactly the issue im experiencing. Also looks like you've put a lot of effort into diagnosing already so thanks for that. I also didnt know (hadnt really looked) that you could export the data into .tcx and therefore analyse the data in excel which is really useful!
It doesnt look like Fitbit are really putting any effort into looking at the issue though which is a shame seeing as it looks like its an app issue and not device GPS issue!
