It counts steps while I crochet

Good afternoon,

I have recently begun using my Fitbit Charge HR, and so far so good.  I did realize something today, though, that has me a bit "concerned".  I crochet a good bit, and it dawned on me that my hand movements might affect my number of steps.  Naturally, I checked it to make sure, and sure enough ..... my hand movements do make a difference.  There's no way I have walked as many steps as it says I have.  Does anyone have any advice how to "remedy" that???  Thanks so much!

You may be able to change your wrist settings to "dominant hand" even if you wear Fitbit on the non-dominant hand as this will reduce sensitivity slightly, but I'm not sure how well that works for something like this. I'd say the best thing is to take it off while crocheting.

Thank you so much for your input.  I thought of that earlier and wondered if it might make a difference.  I will give that a try and see how much difference it may make.  Before I started crocheting this afternoon, I took it off.  🙂
