Manually Syncing Fitbit Charge 3 Crashes the Device

When the device attempts to sync, the screen goes blank and unresponsive. When it comes back up, it has the double dashes on the heart rate like I just put it on. When I attempt a manual sync from the app, it fails and recreates the same malfunction. This incessant restarting is drastically reducing battery life. I have tried all the reboot options on the forum and tried unpairing the device with no change. It's been about a week now.

Let me help you with your Charge 3 not responding after manually syncing it and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. This is really odd. Since the issue persists I have created a ticket so our Support team can further assist you via email.

Further Troubleshooting was unsuccessful. Luckily, my device was under warranty and I am being sent another one. Thank you for your help.
