Mapping & HR data off

When I connect to the track exercise with the app during a workout, my mileage is suddenly incorrect.  It sort of maps the route I take with a few deviations, but it will say a 4 mile run was .08 miles.  And when this started happening, my heart rate data also became sketchy.  For example, one small walk in which I'm sure I never even got into cardio zone, it said I was in my peak zone for over half of it.

@Missifit I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your GPS data and heart rate readings. For the distance I suggest you clear the link between your phone and your Charge 2 since for this feature it uses your phone's GPS chip. You can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Regarding the heart rate, I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.
