Hello,
I am new to Fitbit and I used my charge 2 yesterday for the first time. I went for a 4 mile run. However after the run I checked all the details about my run and mile split was not shown. ( just the overall pace)
I really want this to show. How can I do this?

Hi there @gsandoval13 , welcome to the community.
You have to switch cues on. Here's how to check everything is all set with your mobile before starting the next run, compare the new results and see if they are more what you are looking for.
Key items, "wifi off", "cellular data" feature on so your mobiles GPS is working and cues are set for the time or distance you want "flagged" AND use the stop watch "start" on the exercise screen of your mobile to begin and stop/record the event (bullet 2 below).
For changing these settings go on your app, please follow these instructions:
1. Tap on the Exercise tile which will take you to the exercise log section.
2. From the Exercise log section, tap on the stopwatch at the top right corner of the screen.
3. Make sure you're on the "Track" tab and here tap on the "Cues" option.
4. You will see the settings and here you will be able to select the Cues option.
5. This will let you choose either distance cues or time to a personalized amount.

Hope this is what you're looking for, help others who may not even know this feature is available by marking helpful solutions as Accepted if it works for you 🙂

Yes, intervals require GPS, the only fitbit tracker with built in GPS (external phone buddy not required on your person) is the Surge. I use mine for those (more competitive) occasions.

During the run, the Charge 2 does not have the option to see split mile times. After you sync you can go to the events record and see the splits.

I believe that @wmchapman is correct in that you will need the phone and connected GPS to see split times

Technically @gsandoval13 the Charge 2, as with any other step counter, workout GPS, they are unmanned to measure distance. They calculate distance based on the users stride. Think of it more an educated guess at the distance.

Terrific analogy. The beauty of fitbit trackers (of all variety) is they can be personally calibrated to "spot on" with the stride length tuning. Takes a few months, and consistency from practice, but what an untethered tool when you've "nailed it".

Hello!
How did you get to that split page?

For the past two weeks, my phone and the exercise log on my fitbit page no longer shows the mile splits. Did google mess up the recording system? or are they going to charge extra to have your mile splits show in your log. it tells me the splits when I'm running but it no longer shows me the splits after I run. I liked this feature. Is it time to switch trackers?

I'm not sure what Google has to do with Fitbit features @NeoSoul
Are you saying that they do not show up in splits on the Fitbit app of your unknown phone model?

No Google hasn't bought Fitbit, they have only made an offer to buy Fitbit.

Is there a reason that sometimes the split shows and sometimes they don’t? I do the same thing every time I have my phone with me everything is synced up, turned on, on the Fitbit I hit exercise run, start finish, etc. when I think the phone and check the stats, sometimes the splits are there in the route, and sometimes they are not.

The same thing happens to me (ie, split times used to show up and now they don't). But, I've noticed that split times no longer show up since I started using Bluetooth earbuds. My guess is that my phone can only connect to one Bluetooth device at a time. So, it drops the fitbit when I connect to the earbuds. I have a charge 4 which does not seem to be able to connect directly to earbuds on it's own. It doesn't matter that I have the fitbit app running on the phone at the same time that I am exercising with GPS on my fitbit. If they are not connected, the mile split calculation doesn't happen.
