The app itself is the same for all models. But within the app, when you go to add the device, it will ask which device you are adding. If you choose the wrong one (presumably without another one of that model happening to be nearby), it just won't find it, and you can try adding the other one.
However, that all depends on it being charged. If it's battery is dead, you need to know which one it is to get the appropriate charger.
