My Charge 3 is not recognizing my exercise automatically

My charge 3 is not recognizing automatically the exercise I'm doing. Me and my husband have the same fitbit, the only difference is that he has an iPhone and I have a Samsung... doing the same exercises, he has a report on the exercise tab showing the type of workout (aerobic, sport), time, average heart rate, calories burned and exercise zone... not happening with me... any idea why is that difference?

Thanks but I already tried it and it still isn't working.  Any other suggestions? I just got the Fitbit a few weeks ago. Sometimes it will delay posting my exercise but today it hasn't worked at all.

This happening with me too. I have restarted my phone, rebooted my Fitbit, tried logging my walks manually (which resulted in m y step count DECREASING), and updating the Fitbit app. Still nothing.

finally i had a walking session show up after i manually added a weight trng session today, only the 2nd walk of today (before the weight trng) showed up and none of the walks yesterday.  a short walk after weight trng showed up also so maybe, hopefully it’s back on track.

My exercise finally registered this morning.  I'm not sure when but it took about 24 hours.

This article doesn't help. When I go into my exercise tracker there is no option of swiping and selecting an exercise.

This is obviously a really common issue. I am literally about to throw my Charge 3 in the bin now! Had it since Nov 2018 but in the last month it has stopped auto recognizing any exercise and I have tried ALL the so called fixes several times over to no avail!! My steps recognize and active minutes show but no exercise😵 I really dont want to have to bin it but its pretty **ahem** useless as a fitness tracker if it doesnt track anymore!! Maybe I need to go for another FitBit product or another brand that doesnt stop working!

Update: my issue resolved when I changed the GPS setting in my phone. I had set it so that GPS was only used when the Fitbit app was in use. So if I didn't have the Fitbit app open on my phone, GPS would disconnect, and then it would stop recording my run. I changed the settings to have GPS tracking all the time for the app, and that seems to have fixed my issue.

Thanks for the reply- however, my GPS settings on my IPhone are already set to allow access to location for the FitBit app always so its not, sadly. Thanks anyway

This is not a solution. It's just a list of other questions. This is NOT the best answer.
