My Charge 3 screen flickers

The screen flickers with a smiley face and faded white lines it.. I tried the reset with the charger and it did nothing... when I put it on the charger it shows the normal stuff but with faded lines in it.... soon as I take it off the charger and put it on my wrist it does the flickering with the smiley face I’ve only had it for 3 weeks...

I regret to hear that your Fitbit Charge 3 display is not working properly. Thank you for performing a restart before contacting us. In addition to this procedure, you can also perform a long restart by following these steps:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again

If this doesn't work, please be so kind to change the clock face of your tracker by following these instructions.

Mine started flickering yesterday after nothing but problems since I purchased it and now after the vibrating and shaking yesterday all I can get is a solid line across the screen. I have tried several hard restarts to no avail. In the last 4 years this is the 6th Fitbit I have had and eventually it becomes old when nothing works to fix something and no one response with anything other then they offer a 45 day return policy. Has anyone else had better luck somehow getting them to give direction on how to make repairs when their equipment goes crazy which is seemingly the norm with this company anymore.

If I remember correctly. I just got this one in November or December 2018 and it’s once again dead after I went through all the steps that were stated.

Haven’t heard from anyone as of yet (7) days and it’s constant vibrating is so annoying you can hear it when placed on something. I have changed clock faces, did uncountable restarts all to no avail. I starting to think Apple Watch may be the way to go based on reviews and customer service from my experiences with Fitbit.

Same here, all the issues stated here have occurred with my Fitbit Charge. Multiple emails to customer support and all they do is give you the same steps they give here which everyone has tried multiple times. No customer support, they do not stand behind their product. Garmin rocks! I know people that have had them for years with no issues.

I’ve had my Fitbit charge 3 for less than two years. Screen started going off center and then flickering. Tried plugging it in and holding it down hoping to reset but all I get is global wrong of lights like when a computer crashes. This is my third Fitbit and I’m afraid my last. Anyone help???
