New Charge 2 won’t update

I bought a new Charge  2 only for step tracking. Unable to complete software update to pair it to app. Keep getting message “Couldn’t update” Any ideas what I can try? I’ve done all the basics. Uninstalling app, using different phones, clearing app cache, restarting phone/Charge2. I’m at a loss. Any help would be appreciated!

@AMR0919   The Charge 2 is Legacy device that has been discontinued for several years.  Based on other user posts, Google removed the updates for all Legacy devices.
