New Charge 3 screen will not light up

New Charge 3 out of the box will vibrate when connected to charger and when side button is pushed but the screen will not light up. Tried other listed solutions of holding side button for 15 seconds, but nothing happens following those attempts. No solution listed in the forum seems to work.
