Hi @olddude thank you for bringing this to my attention, I'm happy to assist you today and give you a warm welcome to our Community Forums.
To make sure that you're getting low battery notifications, you will need to do this from your online dashboard. On your computer's browser, please go to: https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/notifications and make sure that "Low Battery" (which is the first item) is currently selected for mobile and email, or the way you'd like to be notified about this.
Keep in mind that your Fitbit needs to sync to your phone in order for you to receive the notification, so be sure to either sync constantly or to keep the All Day Sync option enabled from the settings on the Charge 2 itself by tapping on the icon of your device at the top of the dashboard.
Let me know how it goes, I'll be here if you need anything else.

All day sync is on. I have the same problem, no notifications. Pretty useless device if it keeps running out of battery...

You are probably not getting any messages and updates to your fitbit email messages because your fitbit is not syncing with your phone or other bluetooth device. I noticed the same thing happening to me about a month ago, no notices and I was having to charge my device every other day. I also noticed I was no longer getting my weekly reports. Fitbit simply did not send anymore emails because they had nothing to report. Check out my post on how I got my fitbit to finally connect and sync again. Also my battery is now running normal, since it no longer is constantly running down trying to sync to no avail.
